Important Information from Aetna

This year, we added 4 new plans to the Aetna Portfolio: an OAMC National Plan, an EPO National Plan, and two EPO NY plans. The Plan numbers that identify the new plans are 40, 41, 42, and 43.

Regarding existing Aetna plans, there are two plans with slight changes. Plans 14 and 30, both high deductible health plans, have a new deductible for Individuals and Families of $3000/$6000.

In addition, several Aetna plans on all platforms will have a co-payment for ambulance coverage rather than have subscriber bear responsibility for a percentage of the cost. For example, on Aetna Plan 7, an ambulance was previously covered with a 70/30 split between Aetna and the subscriber. Going forward, there is a $350 co-pay for the subscriber.

New to all Aetna Plans – Fertility Benefit

Aetna members now have coverage for Artificial Insemination (AI), also known as Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), as part of their eligible medical plan benefits without having to purchase additional advanced infertility benefits. Previously, IUI was only covered as a treatment for diagnosed infertility and, in some cases, required the purchase of infertility coverage. This policy change now makes IUI a covered benefit under each plan, regardless of an infertility diagnosis.

Important Information for MetLife Dental and Vision

All 4 MetLife plans will be renewing with no plan changes.
There is a slight increase in premium for the Enhanced and Premium Rates.

Davis Vision
Davis will renew with no changes.

UHC Vision
UHC Vision will renew with no changes.

Prestige Renewal Portal Enhancements

This year, we have added new enhancements to our custom-built Prestige Renewal Portal to make it easier for you.

You can now access additional support by not only contacting your dedicated Benefits Team, but now your Business Development Manager as well, directly within the Portal for personalized guidance.

We have also added a new audit trail feature that allows you to track who created each contribution model, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the process. Additionally, you now have the flexibility to assign 100% of the cost increase to the employer, giving you more control over your contribution scenarios.

Your ability to download contribution scenarios into Excel remains as straightforward as before. You can model unlimited scenarios and share them with your team before submission, allowing you to ensure that you select the best plan options for your workforce. Your broker partner will also have simultaneous access to the Portal, ensuring they are ready to assist with any questions or guidance you might need.

New Voluntary Employee Benefits

We’re introducing new voluntary benefits and programs that will enhance your overall well-being and provide unprecedented family-building and caregiving support.

First, we’re offering Solstice DHMO Dental Benefits. This comprehensive DHMO plan covers over 500 procedures at a copay, ensuring affordable, high-quality dental care. Solstice Dental provides open access, meaning you do not need to elect a primary care dentist and you switch anytime as you must obtain services from a participating dentist within the Solstice network. With no rosters, waiting periods, or late entrant penalties, it’s designed for convenience. The plan also includes extensive coverage for adult and pediatric orthodontia services and dental implants, providing more options to maintain a healthy, confident smile.

  • If you choose to elect Solstice as an offering for your employees, please reach out to your Sales Rep or Benefits Account Manager. Offering both MetLife and Solstice is allowed.

Additional voluntary benefits include Motivity Care, which offers programs to support executives and employees navigate their caregiving journey.
